Hughes and Doyle can both play.

They started training late today just so they could get involved.

Also perhaps they have better targets than Rhodes lined up if we do go up? Remy could come back and austin available. Makes no sense signing rhodes for 8-10 million when we can buy players of remys calibre for 8 million when/if we are in the prem.
        Reflectively, im happy.
Blimey Maidstone you've changed your tune!

honestly no idea... i'm underwhelmed by the 5 players in, but we've got a decent midfield and, although none of the new kids look as good as austin, maybe they can still bag a good few. more worried about the defence... aaron h (sorry, still can't bear to write h****s yet) is getting on a bit, the lack of pace between him dunne and hill worries me.

Hughes is a good signing, but would have liked a specialist right-back to replace Simpson. I'd like to see Harriman back tbh, can we recall him?
Dellatorre - Who knows. Harry effectively disowned the signing, so I'm guessing we won't see him play much if at all.
Keane - Who the hell knows. I'm sure he's got oodles of potential, let's hope he hits the ground running, because we've shown this season already, if you're not an instant success, the crowd will take against you permanently.
Maiga - Feel quite positive about this one, oddly. Most likely to do well I think.
Doyle - Experience of this league and style of play make him likely to be a regular starter. Hopefully a fresh start will perk his goal-scoring record up.

Still feel very down about Austin being a long-term loss, I was still 100% sure of promotion before the injury, and would feel much more relaxed about the new signings if we were just looking for someone to partner Charlie up top, rather than replace someone who has scored 5 times more than the next highest goal-scorer. Add the loss of Simpson in, one of our most solid performers, and we're definitely in a weaker position than a couple of weeks ago, albeit we now have some striking options.

We still have the best squad in the league. I still think we'll go up, but I'm not as certain as I was 72 hours ago.

fairly happy, but we should never have got in the position on relying solely on Charlie and back up should have been sought months before the dead-line
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

After being utterly disappointed yesterday, I feel a little more optimistic today.
                    * Donaldson - only signing I wanted, and as an investment for the future. Hardly features this season.
                    * Hughes, can be this season's Ryan Nelsen - good signing.
                    * Maiga, seen him play and if he gets a good start may score 6-8 goals for us.
Can't say anything about Belladonna, Keane or Doyle.

we needed fresh faces and we've got them. Some will do ok, some won't. Always the same with new players
Let's give then a chance, get behind them and let's hope they come off.
At least all the eggs are not in 1 basket
Worst case scenario, we'll be in the play offs, not sure about automatic
