You cant forever be hell bent in protecting the board over and over on this.. No, ive never done a transfer but Somethings surely up? Surely no board would risk going 30 days with one fully fit striker.
Doesn't add up to me but oh well, lets hope we do get someone

HR himself said this morning that they've been chasing Belfodil for 6 weeks. Note that's 6 weeks, not a few days. Signing players is difficult at the best of times and in the January window its even harder. It's a sellers market, plus the agents and players are trying to get the best they can for themselves.

So we either chase the ones we want and hang on to try and get the deal done or we go off an sign lesser players that no-one else wants or see us as a step up. We're 2nd in the league and looking to get promoted this season so I'm guessing the aim is to get players in who can hit the ground running so getting in players making a step up could be dangerous if they need a few games to get up and running, plus more games to get used to the league and our team.

What would you have us do? Sign players that we want or just go for the easier option to keep people like you happy? I guarantee though that the same people moaning at no signings so far would have been moaning at the quality we'd get early on that we'd have had no contest over signing....

you can rotate two 33 year old strikers with dodgy knees and hips all you want but they never be 'fit' not 100% anyway.
