The whole premise is, and always has been, that you are bound by sporting regulations - not financial ones. That is not, or ever has been the mandate of UEFA. Trust me - most wealthy owners are chuckling to themselves..... because UEFA haven't got a hope in hell of enforcing it.

Just take one example/scenario: A chairman decides that he wants to invest in the infrastructure of his club in order to improve the long term sustainability, for example: A state-of-the-art training ground. He invests up-front and as a result, the books take a hit over a few years....... but he falls foul of "Fair Play". UEFA impose sanctions....... he goes to the European Court of Law.......

Lol. UEFA would (and probably will) be bankrupt within 2 years.

And that's why certain things are not included in FFP calculations. We've invested heavily in becoming Cat 1 academy but not a penny of that gets included in the calculations.

Anyway, only popped in to say we aren't on any trouble. It's all getting a bit ahead of the game at the minute. As I said, we'll cross the FFP bridge when we get to it. Bit I'm happy for the club to plan for it until we know for sure.

Well you can spend £20m more on wages without even starting to worry about it as the first year parachute payment is £20m now. And it will be essential to have contracts with relegation clauses. You can go up and spend what you like on players fees as that won't count against you, it's the wages you are left with that's the worry if you come back.

Yes mate but its not about parachute payments if your outgoings are more then what you generate, within a percentage target, you get fined which is not fair on you, us or anyone else. If a club wants to blow all there money let them and if you they cant cope at a later date they end up like Pompey its not for the leagues to dictate who can spend what based on how big you are as that will only result in the big getting bigger and below sides falling into order based simply on size

can we not get over the fact and admit......leicester aint going anywhere and are nailed on certs to be in top two imho....yes i think they have more luck than anyone in most games but they are there for the duration my friends!
