What we need in this transfer window?

I am happy with our keeper and back line. It's the midfield and up top where we need some extra players.

I reckon we need an attacking centre mid to chip in with some goals, a left winger to create and to also score plus another centre forward to help Charlie. Perhaps 2. A big lump where we might need to go direct at times late on in a game plus a poacher to play 4-4-2.

The left wing is a must. I remember Cardiff signed Craig Noone this time last year and he's always impressed. I do not want anymore 30 plus old Premiership players who are past it like Benayoun or Jenas! I want some hungry players like we had last season with Townsend.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

i think in an ideal world we'd move on a few and bring a few more in than the expected one and only signing we're meant to be making.

id sell hoilett for as much as possible, move on swp, aj, zamora, jenas (contracts end in summer?), try and play hardball over wages with cesar.. this is the only chance we will get to move him on imo.

I'd like us to bring in kevin phillips as an option from the bench - direct replacement for AJ who really can't stay fit for longer than 4/5 games(same as hoilett) - then if we got enough dosh available i'd like us to go for wells and tom ince

As mentioned id rather we steer completely clear of crouch and defoe - we dont want players who are coming to the end of there careers with very little left to prove.

Young hungry striker. Shane Long in fantasyland. And a decent ball carrying central midfielder, but who that is I have no idea. The Watford guy, Murray (?), would be decent.

Agree. Moves as willingly as a mobile home in an Essex trailer park...

IMHO all we really need is a striker.

Jelavic or Shane Long would be great signings

Reports saying we're about to bid 3.5 mil for Sean Murray from Watford. From what I've seen he looks decent and at 20yrs old would be a sound investment. On the striker front I don't see Spurs letting Defoe and Kane go. Kane came on today and Defoe wasn't even in the squad. Wells is an option but injured atm and seems a lot of interest in him so would have to move quick. Shane Long or Rhodes would be my choice, I'd really break the bank to get Rhodes. Unreal finisher.
