    In regards To Buying Players

we had 11,000 turn up on Saturday and many are making the point, we were the lowest in the championship, should we be asking to spend on this and spend on that, is that not irresponsible? Part of building the squad is to make it cost effective and don't think the club have made a loss on players. We might grumble about the players, but millions have not been spent. Or should it have been?

We've not sold out best players despite interest from other clubs (apart from Blackstock) and whilst we have the lowest crowds, I don't see many clubs with our kind of attendances, that have the calibre we have on the pitch.

Look, I'm cheesed off but our expectations maybe a shade too high. Though, it has be said the attitude of some players leaves alot to be desired. I'm Not seeing blood, sweat and tears and a committment to get stuck in and take the game by the scruff of the neck. We are playing well beneath our capabilities, which is very disappointing.

Scun thorpe are a prime example of a team with far lower gates than us and their squad is hardly brimming with class players - but they banged in 4 at Palace = let's see how we do against them and talk about it again on Wednesday

Sorry, if you think S****horpe are brimming with class players, than I amazed. They will go very close to going down this season, despite a good win versus Crystal palace

we're going around in circles. we are paying premiership prices which means we are entitled to a well balanced squad which includes a decent striker and a left back. if we had that we would win games, and the gates go up.

Crowds are poor because the football served up by the players we've got is poor. As simple as that.

You made me read my post again as I don't for one minute think they have a class squad! Spotted my typo which should have read "hardly" brimming with class players but even with the typo surely you got my point?

Scunny are poor, very poor and have woeful crowd averages - but they got 4 against Palace, will we? I'd be surprised if we get more than our customary 1 to be honest.

He didnt say they had quality players.

The point he was making is that we have a far better squad than them yet they still knocked in 4 away to Palace.

"Look, I'm cheesed off but our expectations maybe a shade too high."

Expecting to beat Barnsley, Nottingham Forest and Peterboro at home in the league is not too much to ask. Perhaps you should be the one to take a reality check.

The crowds are not going to improve whilst the team continues to underperform. The mood at LR is terrible, and personally if i had to pay £25 a time to roll up and watch those games i'd think twice about watching them until things improved.

Scun thorpe scored 4 goals away and we are still not able to score more than one goal. When was the lat time we got 4 away? the players should really be ashamed of themselves.

we're seeing what we have paid for,no more no less.a totally unbalanced squad,a failed manager out of his depth, and a sporting director who is clearly not fit for the position.

If the board don't want to spend more given poor attendances then fair enough. Lets try to go up slowly, slowly. But just so long as they realise we won't be going up if we don't buy a proper striker, so pointless then firing yet another manager in some sort of absurd blame game.

buying individual players who have their own agenda is not going to improve us as a team,we would be better off with a team of "lesser players"as they would work together to produce results.things will not change until the manager brings the players in and not flab and gp

Bluehoop- you did say "hardly brimming with class players" in your original posting - it was QBP who misread it.

Yes, I know, but my original post mis-typed the worh hardly, since amended - but even so, Pete totally mis-read my point. It doesn't take superstars and the best players in the world to play as a team, fight and scrap for knock downs, 50;50 balls and second phase balls, nor do you need to be the most gifted players to pass the ball to your own team. Clearly Scunny managed that at least 4 times on Saturday, so did we.......on no hang on a minute, we didn't copete for any lose ball, pass it to our own players or look like scoring 4 goals against another very ordinary team - on our own patch :embarrassed:
