Agree the obsession on here last season and when we signed players because of their age was becoming embarrassing there were some proper knee jerk reactions of not signing anyone over 30 etc etc when its nothing to do with age rather as you say the attitude

Add quality to attitudes as both compliment each other. I mean Jamie Mackie had the right attitudes but not the quality while a some of last seaosn't signings had quality/experience but bad attitudes.

Yes, it's about attitude and ability. For example, three of our top performers this season are over 30. Barton, Hill and Dunne.

But Gabby / Delaney are too slow for the Prem in thought and in action and do not have the experiance to defend at that level (OK for the Champ), the same as Evett was for Blackpool poor old Olly had not learnt and made the same mistake, didnt strengthen the CD.

Dunne uses his head, reads the game and is not that slow, and helps marshal the defence. Hill who gives 100% knows he is now too slow for the Prem, but at this level next to Dunne excels, and IMO both Dune / Hill are 100% more class and better than both Gabby and Delaney.

One thing all us fans should have learnt by now, it is not the price or age that we should judge on, but character, effort, attitude and performance and both Nelson, Hill and Dunne were / are magnificent for us.0
