Clint Hill for me. Because I like watching Clint Hill. Then Joey. But, given the players we have available and the way we play, Austin is presently indispensable.

Richard Dunne for me. He is the big strong centre back we were so sorely lacking in the Prem.

I'm not a Barton fan, but he would nevertheless be my second choice.

Green has had a fantastic run of clean sheets but he still makes me nervous. We all seem to have forgotten about the relatively soft one he conceded against Birmingham that, fortunately, was subsequently ruled out by a linesman's flag. Still, I don't think we would miss him because we have Cesar who I personally think is better.

Tell you another one, how good has Simpson been at right back?

This. Solid as a rock. Reliable. Very, very good player. And an unsung hero to be sure.

Losing any of the spine in our team would be damaging. Losing Green, Dunne, Barton or Austin and you'll witness a different QPR side. All good/great teams are built around a good spine and that's exactly what we now right have. IMO if all those four have an injury free season then we'll be promoted, simple as for me.
