Looked a class act. Some lovely touches, but not yet fit and ought to have been taken off way before he was. Will be a first team regular and a wonderful addition to the side.

Quality, pure quality. He's what we've been missing in recent weeks. Him and Faurlin linked up really well, I'd say that team is our strongest/most effective 11.

That show of love & affection will have done Niko SOOOOO much good! Because he was constantly in & out of the team through injury (or the manager's pig-headedness), Dynamo Kyiv didn't see the best of him & he certainly didn't get much support from the Ukrainian fans. It warmed my heart (& I'm sure his too) to read that he went off with chants of "Niko! Niko! Niko!" ringing around the stadium.
