Mahon set to stay with QPR

GAVIN Mahon looks unlikely to make a loan move to Millwall after telling manager Kenny Jackett he wants to stay and earn back his place in Jim Magilton's QPR side.

Personally I think that is good news. I don't see Mahon getting too many starts this season but he is still useful squad player.

Question: are these footballers thick or just spoilt? He must realise, surely, that it doesn't matter how fit he is, he ain't good enough for our side now. Suppose I can see why he might not want to go down to league one, but it is either going to be that or a struggling Championship side. Even S****horpe deny they have been interested in him.

Steady on stainrod, Mahon isnt that bad. At the end of the day he's on a contract and if he doesnt want to go out on loan he doesnt have to, end of. I agree he wont play many games now we have Watson but the ball is in his court.

"No disrespect to Millwall or any team in League One but I am hoping I can still do something here...."

            Nice attitude, and all that.
But no disrespect Gavin, but you should have gone to Millwall.

Olly.....the reason nobody wants to go is they are all overpaid and want to see out their contracts!

that's the problem. "i'm staying to fight for my place" translates as "im on a nice little earner here so i think i'll just pootle along to see out my contract".

facto - are you really seeing your next door neighbour? blimey, you don't have to go far for it in essex, do you?

that is true, but...............................with some of the contracts they've got could you blame them for not wanting to go & more then likely take a pay cut, didn't think so

that's where our problem lies, to many average players on ridiculous contracts, end of
