Will Flavio be forced out of QPR ?

Not sure if anyone else has posted on this but just saw it on news now:

Queens Park Rangers co-owner Flavio Briatore could be in line to leave Loftus Road if he is found implicated in the reported 'race-fixing' scandal in Formula One.

The scandal centres around Nelson Piquet Jnr crashing out of the Singapore Grand Prix, and since then the story has developed potentially implicating Flavio Briatore and technical director Pat Symonds.

It was alleged that in a leaked statement Piquet gave to the FIA, he was told to crash where it would be advantageous to team-mate Fernando Alonso.

Renault appear before an extraordinary meeting of the FIA's World Motor Sport Council in Paris on Monday September 21 and should Briatore be implicated there could be ramifications in his ownership of QPR.

While the Football League refused to comment until after the meeting in Paris, the Evening Standard were told that one could not own a football club if they are 'subject to a ban from a sports governing body relating to the administration of their sport.'

If the meeting culminated in his implication he would therefore be in violation of the 'Fit and Proper' test for owners, and could henceforth be forced out of W12.

I would suspect that the Technical Director at Renault and the Team Manager would stand up and "take one for the team" rather than Briatore being implicated.

Can't see any truth in the F1 gate affair personally.....

Also FB et al have issued high court proceedings agains Piquet, whom seems to be far from gruntled (dis) at being sacked.

Anyway how can he not be "fit and propper" when Ken Bates has been involved in football all this time !

Some are licking their lips and knocking one out as we speak at the possibility of this happening but it was always better in the old days I guess when we were skint :amazing:

Well unless Piquet is blantantly lieing then he states very clearly that he was acting under orders from Flabio.

It is very likley he will be kicked put by Renault and then either Bernie will drop him (at QPR) or leave himself or if he stays Flabio will have even more time on his hands to meddle with team affairs. God forbid!!!!:(

One thing is for sure that Bernie and Flabio will not be sitting in a board meeting (or directors box) together at LR ever again. I will be amazed if they are ever seen together again, outside of the court room!.

That would be an ideal solution if it was to happen but you never know whats the corner at QPR and its never plain sailing thats for sure.
