Spot on. We need to expand the fan base, and that is just not feasable at LR.

A few questions about Loftus Rd

Regardless of current crowds, if we had a new 30,000 seater stadium, we would be pulling over 20k every week, regardless of opposition. LR puts a hell of a lot of neutrals off.
Some old stats to chew on (not saying these are right or wrong but are open to interpretation)..
Middlesbrough - Ayresome Park - capacity 32,000 - average attendance over last 5 seasons there 12,000. Riverside - capacity 34,000 - average attendance over past 10 seasons 27,000.
Reading - Elm Park - capacity 12,000 - average attendance over last 5 seasons there 6,000. Madjeski - capacity 24,000 (with planning permission in place to extent to 32,000) - average attendance over past 7 seasons - 21,000.
There are notable others with similar success stories (Hull, Sunderland, Leicester, Doncaster, Cardiff).
The clubs that got it cataclysmically wrong (Southampton, Darlington & Coventry) did so through poor planning, lack of a supportive council and no integrated transport policy - even then in the PL days, Southampton sold out every week.
A decent, modern venue would attract punters, both for business use if sited correctly and for football use would be a long term gold mine for us.
Loftus Road was modern in 1981 - aside from some minor cosmetic changes, it hasn't changed one iota since and we've been left behind. A site on the A40/M40/M4/A4 corridor would be a huge bonus.Comment

Portsmouth.
Mind you, they've been talking about it for about 20 years now.
Oh, and Inter Milan. Maybe we could share the San Siro with AC Milan?
No nasty pubs for the player to walk past either.
Sorted.Comment

in france monaco had to build 'downwards' to fit their stadium into a congested area spacewise........surely with some reasonable rsj's from the mtals it could be done...you know nothing john snow!!!!Comment

Personally, my favourite of all the new stadiums in England is Sunderland's Stadium of Light, though it may be a little too bowlish for someI have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.
