To be fair to Joey, he's always been ok with our fans. When he got stick he said he rightly deserved it. He was highly amused when fans sang Joey Barton he tweets what he wants. He was humbled by the good reception he got vs Sheff Wed, and he said our fans were the 12th man yesterday.
For me, he's the archetypal working-class anti-hero that we fans love and is sadly missing in today's game.
Talking of chants, funniest yesterday was "HE TEXTS WHO HE WANTS" to Kenny .........
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%? For us that would mean around 29k."
