With Barton's future uncertain, M'bia told he can leave, Derry on loan and Diakite off the radar, do we need to add to our centre midfield group?

I don't think so and think Barton is staying: Faurlin, Henry, O'Neil, Jenas. If Baron leaves, we can bring a midfielder on loan after the transfer window has been closed.

Personally I think it's the one area that we aren't short. Barton, Henry, Faurlin, Jenas & O'Neil are more than good enough for this league with Diakite, Mbia and Derry that could be called upon if required and then you've got Frankie Sutherland in the Reserves and even Max Ehmer can play in the holding role. Personally I'd sooner see us buy defensive cover and another striker before we even think about central midfield.

IMO Harry won't let Barton go unless we have somone ready to come in and he knows this.

It sounds like Harry wants to play through the wide area's so the 2 holding cm's makes sense. I have a feeling O'neil would be used as a plan b if Harry thought we needed a change. We need to forget the likes of Diakite and Mbia and that would mean replacing Barton if he were to go

Yes agree. Harry is of the old school who loves proper wingers so Im looking forward to seeing Matt and Hoilett start.
