Some of our fans make me want to cry. I don't see how you can't be happy with the signings so far. Younger ones in Simpson and Austin (with hopefully Townsend to come) and then some seasoned pros on short contracts with Dunne, Henry and O'Neill. If you think this is bad business I think you need a good slap to remind you what division we're in.

I watched Sheff Wed and we just about beat them, they could had beaten us but fortunately we were lucky.Originally posted by Felt View PostSome of our fans make me want to cry. Huddersfield we couldn't beat.
You wait until we play watford, Nott Forest and the other 10 sides challangeing we we get turned over imo. I'm sorry but we don't look a solid side, and I blame the stupid QPR transfer policy over the last 2/3 years which we are now paying for.

Being 'linked to' is a long way from 'signed' mate. I wouldn't believe everything these so-called journos write.Originally posted by ollyhoops View PostWe always bought players that nobody else wanted (except Remy).
Even now we have been linked to Parker 32, Crouch 32, Baird 31 and Defoe 30. When you look at the first team it has to close to the oldest not just in the Championship but the whole football league.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I agree that we could have lost both games, but we didn't. And if you look at the stats, we had the bulk of the possession in both games and waaaay more shots and shots on target. So we could equally have walked away with six points and a healthy goal tally.Originally posted by ollyhoops View PostI watched Sheff Wed and we just about beat them, they could had beaten us but fortunately we were lucky.

With some better finishing, a settled-in Austin and the addition of another striker or two we should be putting away teams like those for fun. It's easy to focus on the negatives but things are not as bleak as they may seem. C'mon you Rs!

Yea, we could probably do with another centre-back as cover for those 3 because although Mbia plays at either centre-back or as a holding midfielder, he's useless wherever. We need to sell him if we canOriginally posted by QPR Richard View PostSo you're content to go through the season with just Hill Dunne and Onouha at CB this season? Bit risky.

Yeah cos nobody else wanted Danny Simpson & Charlie Austin, and of course we've missed out on Gary Hooper and we're gonna miss out on Parker & Defoe cos no other sides wanted them!Originally posted by ollyhoops View PostWe always bought players that nobody else wanted (except Remy).

Well people have different views on what has gone wrong and why we are in the position we are in today, thats fine. I understand that HR has had to clear the decks of the hughes regime which he has done well so far. But we should never had got into the position in the first place. I still think the QPR transfer policy needs to change if we are to build a football club and signing has beens on fantastic wages isn't the answer to our problems. I really think Defoe, Parker,Crouch and Baird is a mistake as they were good players a few years ago, but not now.
Time will tell but I honestly don't think we finish top 6 this season as we just don't look solid or confident enough.

I agree that we need to look at younger players too and I think we are doing that, Austin & Simpson have been signed this window remember?Originally posted by ollyhoops View PostWell people have different views on what has gone wrong and why we are in the position we are in today, thats fine. I also tend to agree that bringing in the likes of Parker and Defoe on Premiership money and with hefty transfer fees is not a good strategy for a Championship club. Not sure that Baird falls into that category, he's on a free and would only need Championship wages, I also think he still has a bit to offer at this level!

Baird will be on a one year deal like Dunne and O'Neil. Can't see any harm in that, he's a versatile player and experienced pro who will provide much needed cover across the back-line and in midfield if needed. I just can't understand how you see that kind of signing as a mistake.

So you think just three centre backs is enough for a 46-game league season, one of whom is 35 and another who is on a short term contract with injury clauses written in?Originally posted by terry ball View PostMate think about what you've just said, you sound like a spoilt brat.
