    Press conference notes

    Usual notes.

    - AJ is out! Groin Strain. Big miss as he is in fine form..
    -

    - Players that left, no surprise that they got good clubs. B
    - Sad to see Granero go - But he wanted to go back to Spain and play. But he actually wanted to keep him!! Shame, but wish him well.
    - Getting closer to where we want to be.
    - Scott Parker has been made a good offer by us, all done and dusted. BUT ITS UP TO HIM!!
    - Parker can go where he wants now however.. Nothing set in stone, just needs to decided. Fee has been agreed with Spurs.
    - If you are playing and playing well then it doesnt matter what league you're in. (Therefore he can play in the league below - RH knows what they can do, doesnt see it as an issue)
    - Not even close to doing a deal for Defoe. But not an issue him dropping to this league, he can still make the world cup.
    - Hoilett - Offer has to be made, and has to be big. BUT we WANT to keep him and he is in fine form.
    - Zapata was a player we talked about. He's got a big future. But at the moment he's not what we're looking for. (One for the future, but we need players who can get us up now.)
    - Harry confirms Duvan Zapata will NOT be joining QPR

    - Mick McCarthy is a very good manager, and Ipswich are a top club. Maybe they could be the dark horses this season, like Hull last year...
    - Ipswich haven't spent big but have a good squad.

    - Lots of rubbish about offside rules and goal line technology
    - Lots of chat about horses and stuff... Ridiculous chat...?! I thought this was football FFS!

    Boring end to the conference...

        Absolute waste of time.

Harry talks more to the newspapers than he does to the fans.

Scott Parker looks like he will not becoming.

That wasted our short time of it being filmed, I wasn't happy about that
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free

Harry sounded quite hopeful a deal could be done & then he said, "We'd of loved Scott Parker to come here" We'd of loved, sounds like a no go but who knows

                Who knows...

Its 50.50 - All depends on the Fulham deal...

As for Strikers, again who knows?!

Harry just needs to sign crouch. Although as sjoke are interested in hoilett I doubt we could sign crouch without wanting junior in return. Faurlin out too leaves us light in midfield we need another signing other than Parker wouldn't be surprised if mbia is included
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

No Johnson or Faurlin, so I'm guessing Austin & Zamora up top and either Jenas and Henry in midfield, or Barton and Henry with either O'Neill or SWP on the right.

No sign of the mind-blowing signings then.

Some missed opportunities for questions ?

AJ - Out for how long ?
Townsend - Have we bid ? Are we close to Spuds valuation ? Are they keen on Cesar ?
Faurlin - Is he fit ?
Zapata/Defoe - Does 'Arry have other Striker options in the fire seeing as he's so keen to have 4 of them (or 5 with AJ & BZ injury record)
Hoilett - Who's asking after him ? Stoke ? In which case is Crouch an option ?
Assaidi - Are we still looking to bring the Liverpool winger in on loan ?
Baird - Is he joining us perm ? Still training with us ? Why does it take so long to sign up a free agent ?
Konchesky - any truth in that rumour ?
Harry McGuire (Sheff Utd) - 20 year old CB - Are we interested ?

How did you deduce that? Doesn't say that in the above resume........it implies it could go either way, it's up to the player!!!

                              And

Will we consider going back for Odemwingie ? If not, what's changed ? HR was very keen before. And the price has gone down from £3m+ to £1.5m. Seems a no brainer, unless the player had indicated he doesn't want Championship football.
