Its a quiet day, have some nostalgia!

Milk Cup Quarter Final 1986 Us V Chelsea

A good few legends on show, Macca, Bannister et al.

A few superstars these days would 5hit themselves having to play on that pitch!!

    And we won
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

    2015/2016, average at best.....

    2016/2017, same old, same old....

    2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

Yep I was there, remember the long range lob by Micky Robinson to make it 2-0. Those of us in the away end went mental. Proper soaking as well.

Thanks for posting kevster; great memories.

If you closely at Maccas goal, the ball was moving when the corner kick was taken.

The pitch was pretty awful!! When people bang on about players not being as fit 'back in the day' its easy to forget they played 90 minutes on what was often just a mix of mud and sand, no ultra smooth, short grassed, manicured pitches!

those were the day, like it when Dawes gets booked, in those days players stood right nose to nose with the ref to intimidate them.
