I was thinking the same, but maybe he would like to stay with us now when we seem to sign some really good players. I should believe he would fancy playing in the Prem with us in the prem next season. I could be wrong though.

He got booked in the first game (against Sheffield Wednesday) and nearly got sent off. This seems to be usual Joey to me. The only difference is that he is playing well. Assume that he played well for Marseille last season, or they would not have even been interested in him.

Barton will continue playing on the right. The big question is If we sign Parker and Townsend, who will be in the medfield?

Barton has been our stand out player so far so why sell him as he clearly appears prepared to knuckle down and get on with life in the hoops.

He was badly at fault for the Huddersfield goal for ball-watching and not tracking his runner, so can't see how he got MOM as he cost us 2 valuable points.

Apart from that blunder he's been very good for us this season.
