    Looks like it's Baird

Fulham is a typically diverse London area with something for everyone - from the hustle and bustle of North End Road Market, to the refined chicness of the iconic Fulham Road. It boasts superb pubs and restaurants, two Premier League football clubs and excellent transport links.

Really good signing. Harry's doing a good job in this market

      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

He's pretty versatile CM, RB, central defender, not a good keeper though....

If it has, that's good work by the board. I could see this work permit dragging on and then losing out to both Zapata and Defoe.
Let's hope the board got it clued up this time.
Where have you read that we've already submitted the request for the work permit? Zapata has only just come over here for his medical and presumably contract discussions so until that's all agreed, why would we submit a request for a work permit?

As you said defiantly referring to Zapata

                re Zapata

anyone got an idea how they get round this rule for special talent, when he has played only U21 football

                (1) they have played for their country in at least 75% of its competitive A team matches in the two years preceding the application;

I guess his age. At 22 he's only really had the opportunity to play for the U21s so we might argue he's now in line for the full squad.

That's why the permit application will fail, and we're appealing on the grounds that he is a special talent that will enhance the British game, and that he will be called up to the Columbian squad this season.

Seems unlikely that the appeal could be successful, but who knows? We tried this for Henrique and failed.

I think you can get away with it if you can confirm he will play the amount of games required and I don't think West Ham could promise this, might be wrong but that's what I have heard.

I cant see why they will grant the permit for us and not West Ham. He hasn't played for the Columbian side yet

I quite like these salt of the earth type players we are getting in. Much more reliable and realistic considering our division we are in.

This times a million. I've had enough of global players I've never heard of...... If they're any good bigger clubs will have scouted them.

We haven't just signed Andy Carroll for a hundred grand a week so maybe they'll think we might play him more.
