Patience. New league, new team, new style....Decent point in my opinion. If we make LR a fortress we will go up, 3 home defeats max, win more than we draw away from home and we will get there. Let's not forget 2nd league game.

BTW Hoillet is different class and one of our most dangerous players, fast, skillful with end product.

....just needed to highlight YOUR usual doom laden post, that's why!
You must have agreed with the logic behind my comment....you haven't argued against it!

I thought we had pretty good balance in the midfield today, I don't think we missed adel much, we are more effective as a team without him as we dont funnel everything through one person and pick a team to accommodate hime. he can be a brilliant player on his day but his days were to few to make it worth impacting tohe whole team for him, maybe he will learns something at fulham and come back a player that we can use effectively IF we get promoted

Henry is a dissapointment he has so far offered nothing that Derry doesnt do better, Barton a revelation, hoilett improving and Austin/Johnson will be formidable once they get more playing time and build an understanding
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

Henry was steady enough was short in a couple of passes but he is in the team to get in the way and break up the play which from the two showings he has had he had done well enough. I would personally have him over Derry

Agree with all of the above, except to question whether Derry (unlike Henry) can still last a full 90 mins at this level...

yeah I am not saying Derry should be a starter, just not convinced that Henry is any better, in the 2 games so far he has been adequate at best on the ground but he has not been good at all with anything in the air and in this division even more than the premiership thats important

I suppose the position i would most like to see us strengthen though is right midfield so that Barton (if he stays) could play in the middle, Matt Philips or Townsend needs to be high on our shopping priority, I am not overly impressed with Yun either at the moment, he is confident enough on the ball and better than traore defensively but not up to the pace of the game at the moment but I do thing he will improve, in the meantime Konchesky may be a decent signing if we can get him on a 1 year deal

The team do look together and in much better spirit than last season, I dont expect us to roll over this league at all but I think we have a reasonable chance of being in the mix at the end of the season

I thought there were times today when we were playing in 2nd gear and when for a 10 min spell we upped it to 3rd & 4th gear they couldn't cope with us and just when I thought we are gonna score any minute we dropped it to 2nd gear again

1st game I saw Henry live I had my concerns and seeing him today backed up that thinking
Yes he is in the side to break up play but he is also there to release the bloo dy thing. Ponderous and static. Playing like a player that has played poorly in a relegated side. I also find his play far to negative and id like to see barton moved into the middle. Henry just slows down our play and id rather see more than just a 1 trick pony playing in our midfield
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I think if we had swapped Henry or Granero for Adel today we would of won, the game was set up for Adel, he would of got the ball and ran into the big open space and driven us forward but unfortunately Henry and Grenero put there foot on the ball and slowed play down. Not saying we are going to miss Adel too much but today I thought we did.

Possibly a shout for Adel instead of Granero but not for Henry as Adel and Granero would have left zero grit in the middle of the park. We created more then enough chances to have won that. In fairness in Granero he does get about the pitch and contest

First half Austin had one on one and miss hit it, and keeper pulled save off from both Johnson and Hoillett second half decent chances for Jenas, SWP, Hoillet and Austin x2 (Crossbar and one that hit outside of post) plus we had plenty other opportunities to have chances where we picked the wrong pass. We creating which is good to see
