Genoa want Taarabt in exchange for ex-Wigan defender Granqvist (Express)

"Harry Redknapp wants to add ex-Wigan defender Granqvist to his squad at Loftus Road and reports in Italy suggest that QPR have made a £4.75m bid for the Swedish international.

But according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Genoa are more interested in Moroccan midfielder Taarabt."

ADEL TAARABT could be set for an unlikely move to Italy after Genoa asked QPR about acquiring the player in exchange for defender Andreas Granqvist.

Adel was at the game today, watching from the stands. Looked happy apparently!

I want Adel gone & don't care where really (though I'd prefer abroad) what's this defender like? I think 1 more centre back could be needed. Though Baird should be that man
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Think he's 28. Used to play for Wigan(?) and looked pretty solid iirc.

He's not bad at all. First 2-3 cb for Sweden and would absolutaly do well. A tad slow imo but still a lot faster than Hill...if true this would be excellent for us.

I'd look happy n all picking up £40k to watch the game. I paid the equivalent of £25 or so for the same privilege!

Just what we need about 6'4" if my memory is correct and we certainly lack a big commanding centre half as yesterday proved with their striker.

I rate him and he'd be a good signing.

Clint has a superb attitude but didn't look great at times and I think this guy has the experience to fit in along with nedum very well.

I remember seeing him for sweden and I though both centre backs looked decent, if adel wants to go then we should do the deal. I still think we will need to replace adel because I don't see a creative player in our squad, Henry, jenas, derry, faurlin, maybe Granero but he might be off too so I'd look for a more attack minded midfielder if this deal goes through.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Its the lack of creativity without Adel that worries me too. The advantage of a swap deal I guess is that it gets round paying Spurs the sell-on fee?

No it wont Spurs will still get 40% 4.74m if that's what the deal pans out at

But who is to give a value to both players? For sake of argument both clubs cd agree to value each player at £1m.
