same could be said for ince, rhodes, birdcutt etc etc etc. bids were made for philips over the past year and a half but were turned down by blackpool.

Nope, Harry wants them both. If Townsend happens it will be near the end of the Transfer window. He's getting in the Spuds team at the minute and while he's playing he won't leave. It will be another Hooper situation there again. As long as a Premiership side doesn't come in for him he'll end up at our place. Don't forget there is always the option of a loan after the Transfer Window closes too.

Looks like Townsend deal is off as he has impressed in Spurs friendlies. Well a broken arm should not be an issue for Matt Phillips. It's not that much football related so yes let's bid for him.

I think that is what Redknapp is banking on with some of his targets.

If Townsens doesn't make the 25 man squad on 1st Sept, the chances of a loan until January to QPR seem very likely. I also think that Redknapp has a CB and Striker, coming in on loan in Sept, also in his plans.
