According to The Mail on Sunday Jermain Defoe will seek assurances from England manager Roy Hodgson before deciding whether to join QPR.The striker will be allowed to leave Tottenham following the £26m arrival of Roberto Soldado and could link up with his former boss HR at LR.His major reservation will be next summer's World Cup and whether Hodgson would consider a player from outside the top flight.Meanwhile Defoe limped off with a hamstring injury after just 9 minutes of Spurs friendly in Monaco yesterday.
