IF this were to happen, it would have to be Townsend + cash for Granero. He had a poor season but Granero is still worth way more right now, however well Townsend played for 12 games.

Some Midfield players are hard to notice hence lots of fans underrate them. I would swap him for Townsend though because of high wages and high transfer fee.

So a player who has played for one of the biggest clubs in the world, has interest from Spurs, Swansea and several foreign sides is useless according to some on here. Couple games on Champ Manager and trading some panini cards doesn't make you an expert.

Just because in a short stint for us, during which the whole squad & club were a shambles, Townsend shone brighter than Granero, don't let that fool you into think they're worth the same.

Granero is worth more than Townsend.

Granero averaged about 30 games a season for Real Madrid over the 3 years before joining us..... Townesend cant get in the Spurs side. No matter how decent he looked for us in a few games where he had nothing to lose, and lets be honest was far too greedy at times probably looking for headlines, he does not command the same value as Granero.
