Aren't your dads brothers just your uncles, normally graded as p***** uncle 1 and p***** uncle 2 "the one found wasted under the presents at your wedding" but top geezers who have many a good war story to tell.

Isn't your second cousin as follows

Mum (M) has two brothers they are your uncles. Brother number one (U) with his wife your Aunt (A) has a son, your cousin (C) a first cousin as a blood line exists with you.
If (A) has a brother is that your second uncle and his child is your 2nd cousin, as its someone once removed from you and as such if you are aristocracy you would probably marry to keep the estate in safe hands and retain blue blood.

He's bad with his drink though, he gets £300 a week from his pension and pays £9.50 rent a week for where he stays in notting hill, the rest goes on the bare minimum of food and a lot of drink

Very sad and an emotive subject, depends how you view alcoholism and drug addiction really. Some view as an illness that can't be helped and some view as the individuals choice.

Depending on circumstances is how i base my opinion.
