Do we have another new No. 10??.. Bye Bye Adel

Not sure if this has been said or spoken about in any of the threads since yesterday evening but did anyone else notice Ale Faurlin's shirt number?

He came on wearing the No 10 shirt. I know Adel isnt there at the moment but bear in mind all the other players we had last season were wearing their normal
numbers i just thought it was a bit odd they gave him the No 10, when we are still led to believe Adel is.. at the mo.. contracted with the club still.

Last season Ale wore No. 32 before he went to Palermo.

Saying all this Ale would be a great No 10 for us.

Is Jack Wilshere to defensive to be a number 10?..

The coaching staff must also think differently on Ale being to defensive to be our new No 10.

It's a pre-season friendly and we are nowhere near done with our summer transfers. Do you think maybe you might be reading a bit too much into this?

Maybe but considering Ale is one of our longest serving players now... I didnt see the likes of Derry and Clint Hill wearing different numbers?
Why would Ale not wear 32?.. Soz Tarbie but i think we have a new no 10.

He's worn the 10 shirt in all the pre season games so far, so he'll probably get it. He's clearly the next fans favourite after Adel so I wouldn't mind him getting to keep the 10 shirt.
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

I hope Harry is now convinced with Faurlin.

I don't doubt that we will have a new number 10 as can't see Adel playing for us again. What I'm saying is that just cos Faurlin wore the number 10 in a friendly doesn't necessarily mean that it will be him!

                        Exactly this..

So pretty much gives it away that he will get it

If he isn't Tony is, he was saying all sorts of nice things about his play yesterday.

no Jack Wilshere isnt too defensive to be a no.10...because he isnt defensive. He is also very good attacking and creating chances. Faurlin doesnt. Faurlin is probably my favourite player left now so im not knocking him. but generally, no.10's at QPR are either strikers or attacking playmakers eg Taarabt, Marsh, Bowles. So Faurlin may wear the no.10 shirt next season, but he isnt a "QPR no.10". im sure ive read something like this on here before

Personally wouldnt put Taarabt up with the greats like that as a No 10 or in general.
He was No 10 for one season and did nothing in that season.
He was No 7 in the only good season his had for us.

Wilshere is also very different from someone like Bergkamp who was also a No 10 was he not? and also a very different player to Wilshere

Times are changing. Ale will be a great No 10 and his been a great service to the club.
