How many in before the season starts?

i reckon we will get another four in before we kick off and maybe another one after.

I think the corresponding question to be asked is how many more will we manage to shift.

I think 8 will go and 6/7 will come in which would be 2 Strikers, 1 or 2 Midfielders, a winger, a CB and a LB.

Agree that it wont all be done before 3rd Aug.

true stanley but a few gone even tho they were'nt all top earners. can see four more going so leaves us with a few options to expand.

Exactly BC , can envision ANOTHER wasted season waiting for the incomers to 'GEL' !

Not much option to do it any other way I know BUT doesn't it just feel like GROUNDHOG DAY every transfer window !

I don't think it's just 'how many' we shift out...it's who.......eg. If we somehow manage to get rid of tarbs we are going to need to bring in a playmaker (something that seemed to be lacking in yesterday's game IMO) whereas losing someone like SWP would not necessarily require immediate replacement ..

That said, I think we'll see 3 more new faces but will struggle to say goodbye to a lot of last years ****e.

Cesar, Taarabt, Mbia, Diakite, Barton, Ferdinand & Bosingwa have not really featured in the 1st team friendlies so they are likely to go. If they do, most will need replacing.

My guess us that only 2-4 more may join by the end of August. Any others can be signed on loans from Sept which is what I guess Redknapp is planning for as by this time he will know which players have not made the PL 25 man squads.

I just think there will be a mass clear out of the players who upset/don't fit/not needed - and we will need replacements to get us up to the required squad numbers.

Having said that, its not going to be easy to shift 8 players

How many can be signed on the loan in the Championship? I read somewhere that the rules were being changed.
