Looks like Crouch has turned us down

Crouch said: “I’m more than happy here and the family is settled. As long as the manager is happy and I am, then I don’t think there’s anything to be done.”...http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/foo...Crouch-to-QPR?

No big deal so long as the Hooper deal goes through or Remy stays.

Nothing to say we were in for him to be honest

I'm still a big fan of his, good luck to him
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I think 6 million is way too much. If this is the valuation, glad he is not interested.

Doesnt matter to be honest. Lets get after Billy Sharp or Charlie Austin - assuming we are looking at bringing Hooper and another striker in.

I wanted Crouch to be honest but I didn't think we'd get Hooper. As Mush says above, I'd rather spend a million on Billy Sharp.

Hooper and Sharp would be a great duo in the championship.

Remy, Hooper and Sharp would be orgasmic ;)

We all know at least one of BZ and AJ will break down after the first week so I think we definitely need another option brought in.

Crouch is a good player, but £6m is way too much for him. He's apparently happy where he is so best all parties move on.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

No great loss. Yes, woulda been nice (at the right price) to have an R playing for us that we know would give 100%, but he's no world beater & aint getting any younger. Plus, as vespa says, if it didn't work out for him here (not that we have a history of this happening to players that we buy....) then affection for him would be damaged!

                    Onto the next 1 ...

It's OK chaps because Zamora is Harrys 'Bobby Dazzler' and no.1 striker, and we have already got him.......:O_O:

Put this one to bed for a few weeks.
I'll wager it resurfaces towards the end of August, when Hughes doesn't pick Crouchy to start many games.

I can almost see the traditional gathering of gibbons at Stoke surrounding the Sky reporter as he mentions Crouch has left the training ground and is flying down to London on deadline day. Harry leaning out of his jeepster, twitching "Triffic lad, never let me down, give us other options".......
