Let him go on a free. If he won't leave without a pay-out, let him rot and keep fining him for any misconduct.

******** to him, I'd too let him rot in the reserves for a bit he'll soon get bored and leave for less than what he's asking for. If the french want him than give us some money, that's how it works everywhere else.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Would be great if he acted like the man he thinks he is and cancelled his contract by mutual consent and moved on to France.

Not sure how it depends on the Club. I am sure if he just wanted to cancel his contract and leave they would not stand in his way.

We did drop a b ollock here under Hughes as if Barton is to be believed as he suggests he offered to resign after Man City and we rejected his resignation which does make his treatment after by Hughes even more bizarre

i'm just guessing, but i think his "resignation" might have been conditional on us paying him up the remaining three years of his contract. i'm sure i remember a set of tweets from summer 2012 going on about how clubs should pay players contracts up in full, if they decide they a player falls out of favour and is no longer likely to feature in teams plans.

i'm still waiting for him to bleat on about how we're denying him his dream move to l'om...

Really don't understand the confusion here.

He's being paid handsomly so get him training with the rest of the squad & if no offers for him play him. One thing I will say about this cretin is I guarantee if he plays he'll give 100% for the cause he's not a lazy player by any stretch. Absolutely no point paying him up. Use the same money you would use for a pay off to make him train & if selected by Harry play.

I Tend to agree with Ric Roc. Let him honour his contract like other players have to.

A phlegmatic and pragmatic stance which I would agree with.
