Wants to concentrate raising our profile in this country first as we are a laughing stock. Also with other clubs and rivals all so close and this big stadium he intends to try and fill we could do with a higher profile in London never mind India...unless he intends to fill the stadium with them while charging them for the flights? :-) Less advertising in India and more billboards and radio adverts over here like West Ham or Fulham do would be a start. Then again that doesnt present as many BUSINESS opportunities as they would have by breaking into the Indian market with its 1 billion punters. Lets just hope he doesnt discover a half decent Somalian player otherwise he would see that as a way of filling the stadium too and at the same time he would empty the streets of West London.....but think of the MONEY he would make!

Other than what he's been doing so far, what more can he do?

      Everything takes time.

He raised our profile massively last year, just we were **** and were ridiculed for it. Looks like he is taking things slower this time around. New stadium at least 5 years away. Successful businessman multi-task...!

You need to look at the bigger picture, filling the stadium is the last thing he is looking at right now.

This could allow QPR to find new fresh young talent, who could go on to do well. Might even make a tidy profit by selling them?

New sponsorship from India that we as a small club need to compete with the bigger clubs who can fill large stadiums, we can't can we?

What plans do you have to bring in new support & investors, because it sounds like you have one in place, I think it's a very smart move.

I'd rather be one of the first clubs out there doing this then be one of the last, this could start a new trend. Best of all is that this new project will not cost half as much as it would here.

This should also keep Lakshmi Mittal & Amit Bhatia happy too.
I'm sorry MYU but I have to pick fault with this. Too many people make the mistake that the 'Yookay' is like a single entity when it comes to football. It's not.

Compare the richest teams in the Welsh Premier League with the top teams in the English Premier League and you have an ocean of difference in the finances.

Then look at how much an Indian Premier League cricket team costs. Some franchises have sold for in excess of $370m. Manchester United would be worth a lot more. However, a Welsh Premier League club would be worth nothing like these amounts.

Based on the huge population and the potential for development, I'm guessing the cost of a football franchise in India would be more expensive than the cost of a Welsh Premier League club, so to say the cost to run an Indian football club is nothing like the cost of a 'Yookay' club is not quite true, but could be true of an English Premier League club.

And of course, there's a difference between England and the 'Yookay'
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Well he could start with letting kids in for free for a percentage of games per season as it is the youth who live in this country that will give him bums on seats and also secure fans for the club in the future. Unless you are saying that by buying a franchise in India he is hoping to attract Indian kids and fans who live in London to become QPR fans...like he attempted with the signing of Park and attracting Koreans? India just seems a long way to go to gain benefits FOR THE CLUB and not just for the backers and board members. He must be looking to promote his airline imo. West Ham/Fulham/Brentford even Leyton Orient are promoting themselves to gain new fans in London and the surrounding area and we should be looking to do the same. Its always about International business with Tony because that is how he made his money.

One weeks footballer wage in the UK would keep an Indian living in India for years. In that contents it's very cheap as most money in the UK goes towards the player wages.

Well it worked, the Koreans came yet we still didnt sell out every game. Our current fan base isnt big enough. Agree with the need to attract the local youth. Like it or not, football is an international game now and I for one am glad TF is trying to maximize our profile globally as well as the UK. We wont turn into Man U overnight, but then - neither did Man U. Small steps in the right direction.

You're right, Hammers/Fools/Bee's/Orient are trying to promote themselves. Whats the first thing they did? Look for a new stadium/expand their current one!

And yes, TF is in it to make money. Dont see an issue with this as long as he improves the club (new training ground, new stadium, better academy - looks like he is!)

I agree with the kids going in free, I'm sure when we get a bigger stadium Tony will implement this... I'm so sure of it.

I don't think this is a Park type situation, he is not buying a player who could then move clubs. They are investing in a club which will be a part of QPR, this could lead to producing new players, bringing in new sponsorship deals to help generate income we lose for not being able to fill our ground.

Again, it's retrospective. How much does a Welsh Premier League player earn, and how much does Lakshmi Mittal, or other Indian millionaires spend in a week?

Myu I respect your opinion because you're indian but I will give an unbiased view on the matter. All my friends are indian so I am pretty much british indian too. I know how they tick and I play football with them.

What I will say is it definitely WON'T be a reason to find new talent because there isn't any talent out there to be found.
Cricket will always be their no1 sport and although they have a HUGE population there will never be enough interested in 'playing' football.
Most of my friends that 'do' play football are dreadful, you can't knock there enthusiasm but they just have zero natural ability.
This is british indian so I can only image it being much much worse in Indian. Watching manchester united won't make them good players.

No I am afraid to say this is very much to do with filling a massive stadium with indians living in this country because family back home can discuss the Rangers side out in India. The rest of your points are very valid but it is definitely NOT for footballing reasons in any sense!

Oh and 1 player that once played for Ipswich in the last decade, pretty much sums up the point I am making.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
