I think there is a reason he is not training (not just that he did not turn up). If he had refused to turn up or just not turned up I think the club would have said something. Neither Joey or the Club have actually said anything. It's also possible that since his loan period with Marseilles didn't officially end until July 1 (at least that is when I think it finished) he is given time to get back to the Club.

I'm pretty sure the French league finished a week or two after the Prem. so it's possible he could have been granted an extra week off.

But I agree after his 'final warning' last year, we should play hardball.
Fine him weekly if he doesn't fulfill his contracted obligations and watch his demands subside as the new season draws nearer.....
