Liking Traore in Midfield and dont think that team is too far away from what will start the new season imo

Not sure I'd like Young, a RB, playing LB. Some will say he's versatile etc. etc. but if we need a LB we should get a LB.

I'm happy for Traore to carry on at LB but even happier for him to play left midfield in a 4-4-2 line up.

I had him in last years thread and then we sent him out on loan, gonna be patient this time

I really don't understand it. Harry played him week in week out when he first came in. Then Diakite went to ACON and bar a 20 minute sub appearance against Everton (in which he looked a little rusty but did decently), was never heard from again.

The squad is beginning to have a very British feel to it

green is ok but needs some back up, samba at cd is ok, barton in cm, remy if he stayed would be good up top, but most of the rest, meh.

a fit zamora to partner remy, or crouch and that is an improvement, a fit hill to partner samba or someone like dunne and that is an improvement, so if dunne and crouch were added then the defence and the striker are not broke, not great but not broke.
but cm is very weak, it needs to be the strongest part of the team, barton is good, jenas can do a job, park occasionally, derry or faurlin off the bench, but granero/mbia/diakite would get rid, one player parker would replace all 3 of them, and allow playing 2 man cm, and 2 strikers, too.
as for adel, he seems to only work in a team built around him and last season that went as bad as bad gets. Would rather build team around Townsend in that role.

so here are my 8 players, 4 already at the club and 4 gettable, that would win most championship games.

Wow thats a month ago - anyway, Samba's gone so could do with an extra CD, but the above still looks strong to me
