Although we do need a goal poacher, if given the choice of Watson or say Hooper I would have chosen Watson as I believe he will be extremely infkuential and get the best out of some of our underperforming 'stars'.

Looking at that Palace forum that someone kindly directed us to today was surprised that a few of their fans seemed to say he was too quiet and didn't dominate. Not my memory of seeing him, and certainly hope he becomes the Gery Francis figure we build our team around.

Over the moon we managed to get him in!!! Hes a fantastic player!!! I really was upset when we didnt manage to get him last summer, and when he went to Wigan i really thought his career would take off, shame it hasnt worked out for him but im totally delighted he is with us now!!!.....

Oh and please no one get to pished at shout ginger jokes at him after games!!!!! We really want him to stay past December!!!

The biggest positive about this sign is that our team never had a leader, we are a good squad but something was missing, is that that missing link?

I feel things will turn over the next few games for the better and we will start to see results, we maybe a little weak in one or two areas but as a whole in better shape today than we ever been in the last 10 years.

If we can start to pick up these points I can see the board spending on the forward we all want come Jan or even a loan before then.

This could well be our year but as fans we need to get behind the team and play our part.
