Pay as you play is actually the next big thing in football.... I can see that policy being adapted by a lot of clubs in the future.

Clubs need protection from players... they think it's fine waiting for the contract to run out but still wanting to be paid.

Rules need to change in this sport.

Yep. In an ideal world it would be great to give em low basic pay n massive performance based incentives - but football is another world and it won't happen. No half decent player will sign such a contract.

exactly... Its actually a good idea and would solve a lot of problems in football but it wont happen for years and thats if by some miracle all the clubs go along with it.

The only way this would happen is if all football players around the world are left with no choice. Start a wage CAP as well!

Sadly, ridiculously high wages and daft contracts are ruining the game. There needs to be some sanity restored to wages and contracts need to be tougher, despite what the PFA think. .

Is it going to happen before the beggining of the next season? no? then maybe TF should reevaluate this seasons transfer policy, take the hit and get rid of the majority of the current useless squad, back Harry to bring in his own team of players by what he can be judged by , close his twitter account and stop the daily interviews and PR press releases. Oh and get back over to this country to start sorting out this mess we are in quietly and in the background like other chairmen.

We didnt do anything the MH way, we just did things the football way. Decent players will always have a choice of clubs to go to. I'd imagine Wayne Bridge was offered something similar and went to Reading instead!

Thing is if we offered the exact same deal as Reading i think he would have still chosen to go to Reading. We are a mess and the only real pulling power we have is Redknapp (thats assuming we dont make the same mistake of trying to lure players here on long lucrative contracts)
