Agree there won't be an issuing of persuading TF. The challenge will be persuading any other clubs to take them off our hands. Other newly promoted and struggling Prem clubs will have seen the attitude and work rate of some of these players and also clocked their ridiculous wages and where we ended up and I doubt they will touch many of them with a barge pole. I laughed at Norwich for the dross they were buying (or so it seemed to me) but I was shown up to be completely clueless because they managed to build a team whereas we just assembled a squad of lazy over-paid misfits. Who would pay even £20,000 a week for a crocked Johnson or Zamora or a clapped out Park? Our best hope is probably some weird club in the UAE or Russia.

Agreed and it is a difficult situation and I'm not criticising TF here. 5-10 years ago you would have seen mid table hopefuls like Villa/Brum/Sunderland/FFC level clubs who were buying players, maybe a Villa offer £7m but Sunderland offer £6m + a loan etc, I could be wrong but I will be surprised to see that happening next month. And that is even with the sky money that has a massive boost to the EPL - read about good european clubs who are offering up their entire squads for sale so it is not looking a sellers market.
I don't keep stats but to me recent transfer windows have been very quiet mostly a few loans, big spenders are out of fashion with the global economic recession even impacting football it seems. So even if the players done OK last season and were just unlucky to only win 4 games and even if the reports are innacurate and they are on low wages and even if they were all up for free transfers right now I think it would still be tough to sell because a lot of clubs just aint buying. So really outside of UAE/Russia ie some sort of hitting the jackpot thing it is going to need some massive effort to shift em imo.
