I think too many people on here are looking at the squad man for man based on what they cost and what they're paid then have come to the conclusion that we are too good for the Championship. If it was as simple a formula as that we would not have got relegated last season.

Our squad is devoid of any team spirit, it is full of players who do not want to put a shift in and if you believe what you read, there is a huge divide between sections of the squad. There is no quick fix I'm afraid, unless we can weed out the bad eggs and bring in a few decent players that want to play for the club then we are struggling again next season.

I know a few will say "well sell them then"........sounds easy doesn't it? Unfortunately literally every player that was signed under Mark Hughes (and a good few under Warnock) are being paid over the odds, well over the odds in some cases. Selling these guys will be tough, unless we pay them off the difference in their contracts or contribute to their wages at their new club (not many seem to know but we have been paying more than half of Barton's wages this season). I can see a few of our current squad hanging around much like Rowan Vine, Patrick Agyemang & Rob Hulse did because they know that they won't get as good a deal anywhere else.

I also think you need to look at the motivations of the board and how deep they are willing to dig. If I was Fernandes there is not a chance I would be backing another manager financially to build a new squad unless I felt he was 100% committed to the cause......for me Harry probably isn't, his last few press conferences certainly haven't portrayed a man who is at QPR for the long haul. If Harry leaves having been backed to build a new squad (3rd manager in less than 3 years to do so), then the board would be left with a huge headache when the next manager wants to do the same.

Sorry chaps, but I think we're in for a tough season!

Couldn't have put it better myself. Very tough season ahead, will be happy if we don't get relegated again.

50 points seems an awful lot to get for the squad we have at the moment.
