MATTEO ALBERTI and Gavin Mahon are top of the QPR list lined up to make way for new loan signing Ben Watson.

£1m plus Mahon and another for Hooper then.

Thing is, there no chance they can afford people like Agyemangs wages.

Forgotten about their interest in Mahon. Just wonder if we can offer them Mahon and Agy or Helguson till Jan in return for Hooper, all with a view to permanent moves. Agree tho prob wd mean subsidising wages which might blow our budget. Interesting article and a bit more positive which is good.

How can we gid rid of Alberti? - he's going to score 100 goals for us (apparantly)...

I always had high hopes for alberti and don't think he's ever had much of a chance with a run in the side to show what he's about. Looked good when i have seen him play.

Not much chance of forcing his way in now though.

I suggested yesterday that QPR should have made a player + cash offer for Hooper and even offered to subsidise part of the wages to swing the deal.

There is no reason why QPR can't try again next week, although Hooper would join under the 90 day rule that and have to return in December.

Alternatively, they could wait until October, and make it a permanent deal in January, but that carries the risk of another club signing him in the meantime.

Strangely, Alberti featured in most of the pre-season games, yet hasn't featured this season. I would rather just send him out on a season long loan to see how he does before deciding whether he is surplus or not.

Alberti isnt that bad, he's just well down the pecking order and its gonna take alot of injurys/suspentions for him to get a look in.

Mahon was decent, but hes getting on abit and needs a new challenge imo.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

I agree with that. I think there would be takers on loan and he could shine imo, and become battle hardened so to speak in the CCC, after which we take him back and he could serioulsy challenge for a start.
