PaulMason its all about opinions. Those are mine

Benny is one of my best mates and we disgaree with many things.

Cannot believe people assume that I have not got my own views.

Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool are the 3 best teams in the country and they don't have target men as such. Only Chelsea hav Drogba, who can be classed as a target man.

Defenders in this l;eague are frightened to death of pace, pure and simple.

Tores plays as a sort of a target man with balls into his feet same at United with Berbs

In this league you also need someone strong upfront who can hold the ball up to bring other players into play

I see your point, but then again - those teams have defenders who keep the ball down, who pass to feet. We are QPR - and although we have decent defenders, its clear that we do play a LOT of long balls

Its always good to have another option to our game. A big man to come on and rough up defenders and win headers would be a worthy aquisition in my opinion. What about the last 10-15 when we need a goal and the opposition are camped in their own box.. what good is a pacey striker then?! A big ugly forward we do just the trick. Steve Howard would be perfect

Pellicori and helguson can hold it up, if we need to.

For me Howard is a complete donkey.
He is big and strong but that is all he has.
I would play Helguson over him.
Helguson is the best player we have for that role and that is why I would start him. Set up a great chance that Vine should of put away and I see him as a starter because of that reason, otherwise the midfield won't have time to support Simpson.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

You do not have to be 7 foot 14inches to be able to hold the ball up..up front .Thats giving the assumption that every ball forward is going to be 7 foot 13 inches in the air.You can be 5 foot zip and still bring players into play, provided that the ball is played on the ground. Some times a big / small combo works...sometimes small small or big big or even just big or small...just dont be medium .
