I agree with you if you're talking just about this season though i thought he was decent against Sunderland (away) this season. Last season he was very good against liverpool and in my view man of match in games against swansea, arsenal and tottenham. He was also our only player to come out with any credit against sunderland and was dcent vs man u when we were down to 10 men. Also, without him our midfield was torn to shreds against chelsea. In my view, him, barton and faurlin really worked when they played together. He;s also only saying he wants to leave because harry doesn't play him. He;s not jumping ship.

This is apparently the similar approach that arsenal takeOriginally posted by LBLOCK View PostThere is no doubting this lad can play football, is fit, strong and could get better
But then you get performances like Liverpool at home this season where he patently couldn't give a fook
When are we as a club going to start looking deeper into players before signing?
What's their temperament like? Discipline issues, rumours of disruptive ness etc
Injury record
Family background
Interest outside football and what are their mates like
What are their ambitions?
Will they harmonise or disrupt the squad
Little things that someone who knows the game and can read people would assess
That someone doesn't appear to be Phil BeardLast edited by Olly; 21-05-2013, 10:17 AM.

Anybody any idea what is going on with this guy? He doesn't appear to be in England. He hasn't done any training. He has not played in any of the preseason games (even the behind doors one). Surely if he doesn't intend returning to the Club, they should just terminate his contract.

It's strange as he's not around or mentioned. If he is being sold, it's more dragged out than the hoilet saga. Harry clearly wants him out but wonder whether board would like to keep hold of him knowing that harry will be gone next year. If we don't go up, he'd be a good player to bring back under a new manager.

Why not jump to a few more conclusions.Originally posted by James1979 View PostIt's strange as he's not around or mentioned. If he is being sold, it's more dragged out than the hoilet saga.
