For me this is exactly the sort of signing we should have made last season or the season before rather than taking on rejects in their 30's. Agree I'd rather have the pair mate but Rhodes went to Blackburn for £8m and has been a big hit there, reckon he would cost the best part £10m alone - easy £15m for the pair.

I know but there's no way Blackburn will get anywhere near their money back now running out of Dosh. lack of investment from venky's and Parachute payment gone right down this year1

Look we missed the boat with Hooper, we could had bought him for £3m, why pay £6m now?
The same goes with Austin, Rhodes, Noughton, Townsend, Dervite, Zaha etc.... All players we could had bought last year for decent prices, but no we went for Park, Zamora, Granero, Remy etc.....

Forget Hooper he's gone.
