    ipswich spend £4m we spend

    nothing?? maybe a loan fee....

are we a club in cash crisis??

    why can't we attract players??

and do we shed deadwood??? nope....
still the faurlin t shirts must be ready so all's well....

things may not look so desperate if one or 2 of our strikers can start scoring
imo the squad was over hyped with wait til so and so's back and fit...
it's up to the squad now, re-assured they are safe maybe they knuckle down to the long slog ahead and prove themselves worthy of the hooped shirt?!

how are things looking desperate? You need to take a step back & get some perspective I think.

But look who they spent £4m on! nothing better than what we have. and we have managed to attract the best centre midfielder in the league last season and the loan market hasn't closed so still time for more.

people can say what they like about loans but i'd much rather the players we've borrowed (and have a likely chance of signing permamently if we do get promoted!) than some of the absolute shower some of our rivals have commited their money to. and yeah, four million quid for leadbitter & edwards is up there with that.

Roy Keane is doing at Ipswich what he did at Sunderland. Paying over the odds for very average players. Don't know why people seem to rate him so highly. Yes he got them promoted but made a complete almighty hash of things in the Premiership and with a large budget. Give me JM any day.

Has everyone forgotton that we have got Simpson, Taarabt, Faurlin, Pellicori, Heaton and now Watson in the last 6 weeks?

How many other CCC have got in 6 (quality) players in that time? Not a shabby wage bill either!!!!!

In fact this is such a relevant point I shall post it on a few other moany threads to remind the "glass half empty" merchants of exactly what has happened recently.

Try telling this to Captain Clunge and Co.

Going back to this original thread... I don't really rate either of those players. Give me anyone one of Simpson, Taarabt, Faurlin, Pellicori, Heaton and Watson over Edwards and the other player!

Keane will be gone by xmas at Ipswich and they will then have to sell all the rubbish he's brought in!

Agreed, although shame we didn't shift some of the under performers but in my view we have a strong squad. Just need to give JM time to get them to gel. When they do gel I can see us playing some fantastic stuff. If we can get Buzz and Vine back to full fitness and firing on all cylinders and add in likes of Faulin, Watson, Taarabt, Hogan, Routledge, Balanta, Rowly and Simpson that is a team full of goals and great options from the bench.

Yes we could do with some competition from Barrowdale and perhaps another striker but overall are things really that bad?
