The National Anthem at football matches

I actually disagree with the whole opera thing because football is a working mans game and it certainly wasn't fitting for such an occasion.

On a slightly different tack here, what makes you think that opera is solely the reserve of the middle and upper classes....that's a bit narrow minded. Based on a purely monetary issue, it costs more to go to watch a QPR match for instance than it does to see a top Opera or Ballet company in the West End.....! Fact. Opera (and ballet for that matter) attracts a wide variety of clientele, so having Amore sing at the FA Cup Final is OK in my book.
