those that do however, should be contributing to the country, not taking. this guy had something to offer and a company willing to employ and sponsor his stay and that should be encouraged regardless of his ethnicity.
i believe football has done more for race relations in this country than many other attempts to bring people together and this whole episode stinks of the hypocritical football authorities saying one thing and doing the other.
so maybe there is a problem with the rules. but it certainly is not racist.
Wasn't it something to do with India being ranked too low in something or other?
How are they going to get any better if their players are never going to get given the chance?
It's just the same for club TV channels, the top 4 can have one but the rest of the clubs can't, how is that fair?
Spurs, Man City, Blackburn and the rest of the football clubs all want one but can't, the rich will stay rich and the rest have to do with what they've been told to have.
Yes. You have to be in one of the top 70 of the FIFA rankings. Yes, the ones who have the USA at 12 and Australia at 16. Unless you're in the EU trading area nations (hello Iceland)
India are rated 156.
Which is why the best player in India (allegedly) can't get a permit, but a middling international from Gabon (rated 31) is fine.
We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are...

you can't go on about rich getting richer when we all know this deal was all about comercial gain.
who will benifit the people of india or our owners?
they will not get better by bringing a few of them over here. how about setting up youth camps. funding there eduacation. would that not help more. even still helping india is not footballs responsability. there are countries that need help more than india. should we bring some of there players over aswell
