Fergie and United have been the dominant force during my lifetime so will be weird to see United without him.

What the f*ck does this have to do with QPR?

So far as Ferguson goes, until he's won the European Cup twice with a relatively small team like Notts Forest, he can't hold a candle to Cloughie. How hard is it to win silverware with the financial juggernaut that is Manchester United, who can have any player they want?

Bit controversial but do you think Fergie has bottled it by retiring.

Everyone keeps saying the current Man Utd side is not a great one although they won the league. Add to this Man City are the new up and coming force and they will continue to spend money which Fergie knows he does not have he also knows that Mourinho is on his way back to Chelsea who will also go and spend big and to me hes thinking I don't fancy this going from first to potentially third season in season out (could be the Next Arsenal who went from win win win to 4th 4th 4th)

Also Fergie has always had the mental edge with regards mind games over all the bosses bar one Mourinho so I think he sees the writing on the wall and has jumped

Alright mate, let's just have another thread on whether Adel should stay or not eh?

Believe it or not, football does extend further than our little club.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Agree the last 6 weeks all the threads have centred on Adel, Relegation and players that don't care. In a dire season its nice to talk about something else

Nah I think its due to health reasons more then anything. He's having a hip operation right which would rule him out of pre season and the first couple of games.

I think timing is important too, Moyes contract is coming to an end and it just made sense. The Mail reported before the announcement that Moyes would be coming in as his assistant for a season or 2 to "learn the ropes". I couldnt see this working but now with Fergie moving into a semi DoF role, this is happening but Moyes will be given the official title of "Manager" rather then "Assistant.

Think he would have gone last year had we given them the title by beating Man City. He wanted to go on a high with a trophy, either the PL or the CL.

Good post, good topic, wrong section. This is the QPR Fans section and is for all things QPR. I'm amazed the mods STILL haven't moved it to where it belongs.

Next year will be too late.
