This is one of the least ambitious treads I have ever seen.
This club has been on a steady climb up since we came up from league one in 2003-04.
We have been en the PL for 2 years and some people want to do the same thing again we did for 7 years from 2004-06 to 2110-11.
I will remind you off the places we finished in and it is not exciting reading 10 - 12 - 18 - 14 - 11 - 13. Is this what people are happy with.
Only way to go forward is to go straight up again. Most of these players are hurt and like almost all people will want to do better.
The team is getting new training facilities, more efford on youth system and even going for a new stadium.
For me it is straight up again - if we go down again then it is more fun than staying for few years in NPC

Training facilty, Stadium and Youth academy are all years away mate...The players we have now and cant get rid of are not good enough for the prem. Whether with a couple of additions they can challenge in the Championship is yet to be seen. Even if we do go up wheres the excitement in trying to stay above the relegation zone all season in the prem? Never going to challenge for top 6 or 8 in the prem so will be one boring season after another. Scum and Foolham games will be our seasons cup finals...

Personally don't see it as lacking ambition, the Champs is about being in a league which is highly competitive and being able to win a fair few games, where everyone is capable of beating everyone else...... watching good value for money football especially for those purchasing a season ticket, and even more so next season with prices staying as was two years ago. Grounds full of proper fans and not many plastics or tourists, and mid week games as well. I personally think the Championship is a more enjoyable place all round for QPR to be and for fans to watch football. QPR will never be a competitive club in the Prem I don't think....just always making up the numbers in the Prem and not getting relegated from the Prem being seen as some kind of achievement. Maybe being a yo-yo club might be good compromise though...that would placate all parties.!

OK so in your opinion QPR goal should be to be a Championship club that should never go lower than 21st and no higher than 3rd (if 3-6 then aim to loose in Playoffs.
This strategy is bound to be a disaster. How on earth are you going to build a fan base around these goals. Do you think you will get good players to be willing to play for the club with such a strategy. I do not think so. And then when the drop happens. It was so nice to play in league one when we were there last time we hould just stay there.

As hh9 stated, QPR's league position in the Championship was mediocre at best in all but the title winning season.
If QPR were to make the play-offs every season , like Cardiff, it would be decent, but in truth, in all the season QPR spent in the 2nd tier since 1996 they were a bottom half team nearly every time. I do not want a repeat of that.

Certainly gonna miss all the live streaming...but then again whats the point when we always lose? Watched every game either live or live streaming this season and seen 4 wins..... rather play some teams we have more of a chance beating tbh.

You should watch what you say talking about not liking tourists - now I feel like an unwanted fan.
QPR has been my club in England since 1976. I live abroad so a tourist when in London. I have been at LR a few times proud of supporting my team.
If this is normal feeling of fellow QPR fans towards foreign supporters then obviously next time at LR I will feel at home and it makes me really sad.

Fair enough, but QPR did not win that many games in many of the recent Championship seasons, less than a 3rd in each season.

Had QPR stayed up this season, who's to say that they wouldnt have had better seasons to come.

Remy would be staying, and Samba would be fully fit and QPR could have built on what they have achieved under Redknapp. I think QPR could have finished achieved what Stoke and Fulham have been doing in recent seasons. Now we are heading back to being a mediocre Championship side hoping to sneak into the play-offs..
