Our downfall...Brains

Compare us and the likes of Man U skill wise...not much between us individually. The difference is their far superior football brains who know how to make use of space and positional sense. Old red nose can spot players who have the brains as well as skills.
We may have some players who are naturally skilled but thick as 2 planks that's our downfall.

Dont know if its brains or footballing intelligence but I think its attitude problems that have lead to our downfall. To many d*ckheads in one place (ala Wembley saturday) and you are bound to have problems.

Samething really we only have one player capable of captaincy Derry , had H been able to send him on as last sub against Wigan with instructions to hit row Z if in any danger we would have got the 3 points but he seems out of Hs good books lately

We saw lots of examples of stupid football in the Wigan match, it started with Bobby's red card, what was he thinking? After we miraculously took the lead we saw Mackie try to run at 3 defenders instead of into the corner, I would gives kids I coach hell for that, 2 stupid free kicks conceded in dangerous positions followed, neither of which was necassary then a player ducking in the wall, that is Stupid Football!

not sure anyone, anywhere, ever would agree that we are the same level as Manchester Utd skillwise but it is, as you say the least of our problems

I can't work out your thinking at all.

Man united are miles ahead of us regarding skill and ability to score goals with ease against average opposition.

The point I think you're making is more to do with attitude. United work their bollarks off to close down players and something that even great teams needs to do. Barcelona are another team with good attitude for doing that.
