The reason for asking is that if that is the case, he won't be paying the 73% French income tax. If his transfer is permanent, then of course he will.

I just read on the OM website that they are interested in another year loan as they cannot afford him, which I assume means we are paying his wages. Why would Rangers want to do that for another year?

We are paying a portion of his wages I'm sure I remember reading, but they are paying the bulk of it.
