why have we only just started to really start signing players now.

u have to give your current players the chance to improve. Many clubs have done the same.

for example,
Before the season, I'm sure the club felt Vine and Buzsacky would come good.

I think we get held to ransom because of our supposed wealth, and at this late stage clubs are more realistic in their valuations.

True, players have a chance to show what they can do and it gives jim time to see what is missing from the side.... its only just fair.

If they promise not to sign Folan and instead get us Beckford and Spurr, I'll forgive them completely. If they sign Folan, it will only dissapoint more.

Watson, however is a top signing for me.

I will add before I say this that although I am little disappointed with the amount of points we have on the board I will say the League table is not decided on September 1st. Clubs have to give there squads time to take shape. We have now done that and are clear on the areas we need to improve... (i know we knew a lot of this at the backend of last season but we never had a new manager then) JM had to be given time to access our squad properly. Having done that I think you'll find JM will have highlighted what areas he want to improve. Also don't forget that you can still sign players on loan after today so don't be annoyed if Watson isn't announced today (I'm sure he will be though)!
