I think Hughes probably would have gone (though I am not too sure) and we could have brought in a manager more suited to the championship (Holloway?). I don't think Joey Barton would have gone out on loan because his ban would have ended sooner. Of the incoming players we would not have bought two goalkeepers, Granero, Park, etc. Also I don't think Redknapp would have become manager, though he did not have too many other offers and he wanted a team where he could commute.

agree with pretty much all that and it might have been better tbh. Certainly spared the fans the embarrassment of this season which would have been nice.
