I saw Jamie Mackie do a good job there nothing so outrageous asking a midfielder to play in differing roles , by the way I'll leave a little teaser Alick Stock then at Fulham bought a left back from Luton who won enough England caps in another position anybody got a name ???

Gentleman Jim Langley, the pioneer of the overlapping full back...? Not from Luton though, B&HA before Fulham.

I have a horrible feeling he won't be going anywhere and that the board will be stubborn and intent on sticking with JFH, no matter what.

Ah, you see I was confused, as Bobby Robson signed him for Fulham, not Alec Stock, and he went to Luton after Fulham, not vice versa..

As mentioned. Makes Les's position very weak if we cut our ties. I think they'll plough on in the hope our fortunes will change.

I don't get why les position is compromised if JFH goes as there on the record as saying it was not Les that chose JFH it was group decision

It was a group decision between Les and the board. Les is DoF and the only one of those with footballing knowledge/experience, which the board would obviously be reliant and trusting of - therefore he would have to take more responsibility for the hiring of JFH. This is further compounded by it now being the 2nd appointment (after CR) that he appears to have royally farked up on - thus raising doubts over his own position.
