Joey Barton to sign new QPR contract

    Great news if true..............

he says he has the respect of the fans and if an offer is made, he would consider it.

Agreed, but only if he takes a 50% cut in wages.....at least.

I think he'll hold out for more, and string us along in the meantime.

Great news. He and Ramsey had talked much good about each other in recent weeks/months, so i'm not too suprised about this news. Hope they can find an agreement, because he will absolutely be very very important piece of our rebuilding job as an older pro to guide youngsters and incoming new players. I think that those kind of things might be ones that motivate him to stay and help him in his future plans to be a manageR/coach

Would be a good deal if we offer 1 year deal on around 20k a week.

He can more than hold his own in the championship.

Not for the wages he'd ask for
I should probably write something insightful here

of course he will want to stay , not many teams will take a punt on a 32 yr old with his disp record . thought he had a good 2nd half to the season and may be useful for another year , he wont want to move had the builders in his house for about a year

Not over the moon if he stays but will support him if he does.

Would be well happy with this if we could get him on a deal worth no more than 20k a week. Big bonuses for promotion should be the way to go not big salaries.

This. Good news so far. I'm assuming Phillips will go. I'm not too bothered about Charlie. Think we need something new up front

Thing is, if "the warmth shown him by QPR fans is a major reason why Joey Barton wants to re-sign for the club", that proves he doesn't read much of what's posted on here......

I'd keep Kelvin. If only because he's a Tory.
